Scripture of the Day

Psalm 121: 1-2 (NLT)

1 I look up to the mountains - does my help come from there? 2 My help comes from the Lord, who made the heavens and the earth!

In spite of what you may be going through on this day, KNOW this, you can look everywhere for an answer to your situation.  You can believe that you can control your destiny.  You can believe that you can do it on your own.  You can believe the lie perpetuated by the Deceiver that says "The Lord helps those who help themselves" which is the most misquoted non-scripture in the Bible.

The Truth is that your help comes from the Lord.  The Lord will grant you peace, wisdom, understanding, grace, acceptance, blessings, and hope.  They may not be in the form that you wish, but He WILL do these things.  But first you must humble yourself to Him.  You must accept Him not just in your time of troubles, but also in your times of joy.  Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) says " 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths"

The Lord is not only a rock to grab on to when hurts come, He is the best friend who wants to share in your joys as well.  It is often said that we can not fathom the depth of God's love for us.  I would say that we also can not fathom the pain that God goes through with us in our times of struggle, indecision, and pain.  God loves you and desires a relationship with you.  Will you join him?

Keep these things in your heart as you move forward today.  Blessings upon you.
