James 4:6
God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. (NIV)
How can you challenge yourself to be humble? What steps do you need to take in order to look at how you are acting towards others and approach life in a manner that is more pleasing to God?

Philippians 4:13
13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. (NIV)
This is one of the scriptures of the Bible that flies in the face of the most quoted non-scripture of all times "The Lord helps those who help themselves". In reality it is ONLY through Him that we are able to accomplish his will for us.

Proverbs 3: 1-2
1 My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, 2 for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. (NIV)
Everyday we must make a conscious effort to keep the Lord's commands in us. Think about stress. Stress does not come from the Lord, stress comes from the world. When you feel stress rising, stop and give thanks to the Lord for all that He has done for you.
Prov.13: 3 (...The one who guards their mouth preserves life...) Sometimes the idea of guarding our mouths can be difficult but has many benefits!
